Leadership Team

Governance and leadership at st-johns-portsmouth are shared between the Rector, Vestry, and Endowment Committee.

The Vestry

The Vestry manages building grounds and works with the Rector on the annual budget. Members serve staggered 3-year terms. Three new members are elected each Dec/Jan by Communicants in Good Standing (baptized, regular attendees, and financial contributors).

• Meetings: Third Tuesday of each month in the Rector's Office.
• Executive Committee: Rector, Wardens (provide oversight), Register (secretary), and Treasurer (finances).

Vestry Members

• Through 2026: Ann Barteau (Senior Warden), Margaret Perkins (Junior Warden & Register), Mills Tomlin (Facility Maintenance Chair)
• Through 2027: Bill Oast, Jane Tate (one seat vacant)
• Through 2028: Bob Goodman-Burdette, Susan Hill, Millie Ott (Treasurer)

Endowment Fund

Supports long-term ministries. Valued at $315,113 (as of 12/31/2024).
