The 7th Day of Christmas Olde Towne Scottish Walk is a community event held on December 31, 2025, from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at st-johns-portsmouth (424 Washington Street, Portsmouth, VA).

Event Details

• Hospitality: St. John's opens its doors as a warm gathering space before the walk. Free coffee and hot chocolate are provided.
• Inclusivity: Welcomes children (with strollers/wagons), pets, and historical reenactors with accoutrements.
• Amenities: Restrooms are available. Parking is first-come, first-served west of Washington off London Street, or at Monumental United Methodist Church.

The Scottish Walk

• Hogmanay Tradition: Modeled after Scotland's Hogmanay Festival, a traditional day for townspeople to honor their community and merchants, wishing God's blessing and prosperity in the coming year.
• Procession: A procession of family, friends, and visitors led by bagpipes and drums. Steps off at 4:30 PM diagonally across from the church.
