3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
St. John's Episcopal Church

St. John's Church opens its doors once again from 3:30pm-4:30pm as a warm gathering space before the annual Olde Towne Portsmouth Scottish Walk begins. Free coffee and hot chocolate are provided.

All are welcome inside including children (with their strollers and wagons), pets, and reenactors with all their accoutrements. Parking west of Washington off of London Street (first come, first served) and rest room facilities are available as well.

The Scottish Walk is modeled after Scotland’s Hogmany Festival, a day when townspeople honor their community and merchants, wishing God’s blessing and prosperity in the coming year.  A procession of local family, friends, and visitors will be led by bagpipe and drum.  The walk steps off at 4:30pm diagonally across from St. John's Church. (Parking is also available at Monumental United Methodist Church.)
