Worship

Because God cares for us more than we can imagine,
we celebrate God’s real presence, love, and power. We’re called to worship.

Services

St. John’s offers three distinct worship services to meet the needs of our diverse congregation.

8:00

This is a small, quiet service without music. The focus is on the simplicity and beauty of the Rite I liturgy and its traditional language. If you are looking for a time of reflection and meditation in the presence of the Lord, this is the service for you.

10:00 SUMMER SCHEDULE June 27 – Sept 12

The 9:00 and 11:00 services described below join together at 10:00 for the summer months.  Come casual.  Join the fellowship times before and after this service.

9:00

(begins at 10:00 for the summer)
We place special emphasis on contemporary worship music while incorporating the Rite II liturgy with Eucharist every week. The standard bulletin is replaced with two screens that guide worshippers through the service. All music is played by our worship team. If you enjoy contemporary Christian music, but also enjoy the traditional liturgy, give 9:00 a try.

11:00

(begins at 10:00 for the summer)
This service is the Rite II liturgy with traditional and modern hymns sung by our choir with piano and organ. St. John’s has a wonderful Austin pipe organ which fills the acoustically brilliant church with its glorious sound.

Parking

Parking is available in our lot entered on London Boulevard. Additional parking is available in the center of Washington Street, in the public lot between London and High Streets, and in the parking lot behind Children’s Harbor, which is entered from Glasgow Street just off of Green Street.

We value children in church or in our toddler and infant nurseries. Nursery services are available from 7:50 am-12:30 pm for children (infant to through pre-K) by accredited staff.
