Welcome to St. John's

Believe this simple truth: God loves you, no matter who you are. No matter how you have lived your life. No matter your age. No strings attached. At St. John's, we believe in God's transforming love and we believe God's Spirit working through us can give life meaning and purpose. Our greatest desire is that you experience how much God loves you and wants to be a part of your life.

Founders' Chapel Festivities

The reality of a Chapel in memory of the Founders of St. John’s Church has been made possible by the daughters of Caroline Hatton Jones MacKenzie and Henry William MacKenzie, Jr. who sought to honor their parents with a significant and lasting gift to the congregation. The Founders’ Chapel was blessed on the Feast of St. John (December 27) in a Christmastide liturgy included the lighting of a prayer candle as each founder’s name was offered in remembrance and thanksgiving. On Sunday, January 22 @ 11am we will dedicate the Carrera marble wall monument to the Founders as we celebrate the life, witness and ministry of both the Founders and the MacKenzies on the date of Henry’s 102nd birthday. Bishop Hollerith will complete the chapel dedication on Sunday, May 13 by blessing the altar and prayer icon. When completed, the Founders’ Chapel will provide a regular space for healing prayers during public worship and an intimate location for private devotion at other times.
